Up until 2002, the building that the Clockhouse Bar occupies was in fact a Barclays bank, built in 1929.

Situated opposite the village green, the bar is central to East Preston with its independent array of restaurants, shops and businesses, and literally a 2 minute walk to the sailing club and the beautiful beach.
The working clock above the bar is a kept war memorial, dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Great Wars.

Food & Drink

Between 12 noon and 6pm, 7 days a week, The Clockhouse Bar provides a lunchtime menu of soups and hot snacks. Cold platters and sandwiches are also available from the Clockhouse Deli next door, and are welcome to be eaten in the bar itself.

OVER 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE WINE TRADE

12 wines from around the world are available by the glass or bottle from the bar, as well as an incredible range of wines available by the bottle to drink in or to take home.

All wines are personally selected by the owner, who has produced an extensive list of wines drawing on his 30 years experience in the business.

Beers & Spirits

3 real ales are always available, including a rotating guest. The bar is itself Camra LocAle attributed. An extensive range of bottled lagers from around the world are available, along with draught beers including Peroni and Estrella Damm from Barcelona. More established brands are, of course, on tap.

The Clockhouse Bar prides itself on its wide and varied range of spirits which includes a specialist selection of rums (over 10 to date and counting).
